The Company, previously known as K&M Trading CO. Ltd. a solely owned entity, began operations in February of 1994, as the local counterpart of a joint venture money remittance service with Mutual Security Bank Jamaica, a Jamaican commercial bank.
In 1996, the company was granted the right to market the MoneyGram service from the Cayman Islands.
Early in 2000, the current management team took control of the operation and developed a strategic plan, which called for the streamlining and expansion of the operational capabilities of the entity, along with adopting the name Financial Integrated Services.
Currently the business is managed on a divisional basis. The four main divisions are as follows:

- Accounting Division
- Professional Immigration Services
- FIS Insurance Brokers Ltd (Formerly Forbes Insurance Brokers)
